Negative experience: Awful experience with Dr Killian. Rude, cold, overly assertive, condescending and patronizing. Spoke like a robotic medical dictionary. Do not recommend this practice. Switch doctors.

Negative experience: Dealt with Dr Bates via the EDoc service for our 1 year old - the most shockingly unhelpful interaction I’ve ever had with a medical professional. He was rude, hostile and barely engaged with us as we tried to get answers or reassurance about how to help our sick child. Avoid if you can.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mitchell has such a great bedside manner. Ive been coming here over 2 years and ive had a couple of complex ailments that she really helped with through her professionalism, but also her great care and interest she shows in her patients. Fantastic experience: You couldn’t ask for a finer doctor, truly. He took great care of us all throughout covid, and I always feel very comfortable attending his practice. Both he, the other doctor, the nurses, and all the staff are excellent – you’re always treated with the utmost kindness and respect there.

Negative experience: Horible expierence with Dr Killian Bates. My child never been sick not even had a flu in his life (13 years old), no medical record. And he told me that his diet is unhealthy. No understanding about vegan diet. Super unprofessional to say this in front of my child. Do not recommend and ill be looking for another GP.

Fantastic experience: My 2 children under 2 are now patients of this practice. I brought my 8 month old boy to Dr Corinna and I was very impressed with her as a doctor; caring, knowledge and empathetic. So far so good. Emma the receptionist is so warm & professional on the phone and in person which is also lovely when you are concerned about your sick child.

Negative experience: The worst experience I've had with a medical professional. Dr Bates is cold bordering on rude, has zero bedside manner, and is an awful communicator with no interpersonal skills or EQ. I will never go here again.

Negative experience: Terrible experience with Dr Killian Bates. Treated me like I was a hassle & as I had booked in for the free vaccination service for my infant he tried to get me to go somewhere else. Told me I couldn’t avail of free under 6’s medical care unless I had ‘close connections’ with the practice but could attend as a private (paid) patient. He was cold, rude, spoke in complex language and had zero empathy. The lift didn’t work I had to carry my infant, bags up the flights of stairs with no help.

Positive experience: My latest experience has been truly awful: it l felt the only reason they do it is for money. Went with an issue and was suggested to do blood tests to find out what is the issue. Once results were out, after calling to request if they were ready, I received an email with the results and asking if I have any further questions to reach out. Of course I do since have blood tests done does not solve the issue per se. So frustrating can’t even forse myself replying to the email.

Negative experience: Dreadful recent experience with Killian Bates. He has zero interpersonal or communication skills (I do have to question all of the positive reviews?!). Came away feeling worried instead of reassured.

Fantastic experience: Dr Corrina Mithchel is a brilliant gp. She thoroughly explains everything and care a lot about her patients. Highly recommended. A good option is to take only blood test and consultation later (only if needed)

Negative experience: Very poor services. I have been waiting for my tests results for 3 months. When i asked my test result they just said couldn’t talk to doctor you need appointment. We didn’t have appointment. Go to GP out of hours . Shocking my doctor know my previous history.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service by Dr. Killian Bates. A very professional doctor his knowledge and manner made me feel at ease even when he had my most precious jewels in his hands. Would recommend this practice to any man looking for family planning solutions.

Negative experience: I don't normally post reviews but I need to warn others not to go to this doctor after my experience. I wouldn't step foot back in this medical centre or go near Dr Bates again. I had heard negative reviews from others about this place but I couldn't get quick appointments in any other GPs. I should've wondered why there were so many free appointments here... I had had 10+ years of problematic symptoms and rather than ask any questions about it Dr Bates prescribed me the coil and didn't ask which type I would prefer. I found out later this shouldn't be prescribed unless you have had children as it will be extremely painful. I asked was there any other underlying issues it could be and he told me not to worry, but if I REALLY wanted to he could refer me to a specialist. I said I would like to be referred and he reluctantly referred me (the specialist was shocked I hadn't been sent earlier). I came back for a follow up apt and after leaving me waiting on the table for 30 mins he came back, and long story short he administered the coil. I was in horrific pain, completely faint and couldn't get up. He then realised he hadn't done it properly and had to go back and cut the cords, again I was in even more pain. He left me to see if I would feel better and I didn't, I felt even worse. He said he needed to check if it was put in correctly and when he went to check, it wasn't, and he needed to remove it. I was so faint and in so much pain I had to get a lift home when I live just around the corner. He prescribed me at least 2 types of strong painkillers to make me feel better. I also paid €200 in the pharmacy for the coil, when it had to be thrown in the bin. Dr Bates was visibly shaken at my reaction, and he knew he seriously messed up. He called me in the morning and was clearly nervous about talking to me as he knew how angry I was at my treatment. All he did was explain to me that he hadn't put the coil in properly and that I felt faint, he did not apologise or try to make me feel better. A few weeks later he called me with results of my smear test, and said on the phone that he had "bad news" - I immediately thought I had cancer. This is a completely unprofessional and unempathetic way to call a patient - has he no common sense? Instead he told me that the results were inconclusive and I would have to have another smear. I am wondering if this was as a result of him not performing the smear test correctly too. Dr Bates has absolutely no personal skills and I would question his medical competence.

Fantastic experience: Very kind, listens to concerns and takes the time to explain the treatment and next steps in detail, and has also taken the time to answer any questions and concerns.

Negative experience: Dr Baits has poor communication skills - did not explore my concerns about the problem in any way, and even went so far as to tell me off when i didn’t ask a question to his liking. Rude, inaccessible and irrelevant advice. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had my first appointment today at the Bath Avenue Medical center. The appointment can be booked online via available timeslots in a calendar which is very convenient. The medical centre itself is very modern and offers a broad range of services. I came for a short health checkup and some additional health related questions. Dr. Mitchell gave me great medical advice and was very clear and honest in her recommendations. I can definitively recommend this medical center and Dr. Mitchell.

Negative experience: Stay clear! waste of money + time, 70e to see Dr Bates. How can you examine somebody's throat from across the room? And then subscribes you with 65e worth of tablets. Absolute joke, no time for you and dying to get you out so he can get to the next customer.

Fantastic experience: Came here because of a recommendation from a friend. As a young person it can be quite hard to find a doctor you can be comfortable around but thats what I found when visiting doctor Bates. Unreal staff and the nurse Hilary was amazing and kept me laughing throughout. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Bath Avenue Medical Centre. I recently had a small lump removed from my back. The convenience of getting this done within a GP setting and not a hospital made all the difference. Dr Killian Bates did a great job in that my back is lump free after years of wondering ‘should I have it removed’
