Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, excellent equipment

Fantastic experience: Trained in here in my last year of college. This is the honest to God best of Limerick. Can't speak highly enough of the setup, the people and the culture in the place. Someone picking up a barbell for the first time is made to feel as important as someone going for a world title. All credit to Gar, and the lads and ladies who train there. Wish I had the chance to train here for longer. I still miss the place.

Fantastic experience: Could not recommend CityGym more! From the very start i have been made feel so welcome by everyone there. I was a complete beginner to powerlifting and albeit very intimidated by this gym at the start but even after one day there I felt at home. Gar goes above and beyond with every member of the gym. If you’re looking for a gym with a strong community and high quality equipment this is definitely the place!

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say how pleased I am to be a member of your gym . The whole team is always very nice and polite, it's just amazing and the atmosphere is first class. Today I lost my rings in the locker room. I found out after 4 hours. I wrote a message asking if anyone had found it. I was impressed with how quickly I received a response and the very polite Jay found my rings. Thank you very much to everyone, especially Jay. Having such honest co-workers is rare these days. You are lucky. Thank you again for everything.

Fantastic experience: First day to join city gym Limerick, I'll recommend everybody join it. Just feel like back home, every members are so friendly, lots of craic, I would say it made me more motivated. The coach Rob and Owen taught me in details. As English not my first language, sometimes I can't understand well, they're explaining slowly and be very patient. So pop in have a look if you want to join a gym in Limerick, this one will be the best one.

Fantastic experience: Life changing experience at CityGym with Art (Arthur Lynch) as my personal trainer for over a year. I started from absolute zero, significantly overweight and with absolutely no background of sport or really exercise of any kind, and was coached professionally and with patience and generosity by Art and the team at CityGym. Everyone there is friendly and supportive and it is a really great environment. If anyone reading this is on the fence or apprehensive I would recommend you give them a try.

Fantastic experience: Really nice and friendly staff and people. We wanted to buy some t-shirtd and he gave them free to all 4 of us just to demonstrate that they love welcoming new people. It's definitely more for powerlifters which my friends are, but I was also able to get a dumbbell hiit workout in which was totally fine for a drop in session like we needed to do.

Fantastic experience: I have attended this gym as a casual drop in while I am in Limerick on a short term stay. The gym is well equipped for weight lifting and perfectly suited my needs. I have to say as well how friendly the staff and members are, people go out of their way to say hello and goodbye and you can sense a fantastic community they have with their members and staff, special shout out to Tash (hope I have the name right) for the chat and coaching tip. I am looking forward to my next visit when I am back in Limerick soon.

Fantastic experience: Without question, the best strength training facility in Limerick. The equipement is top notch; Eleiko & Rogue calibrated plates, competition spec bars, powerlifting combo racks, belt squat machine, and a whole lot more. But more importantly, the gym is a welcoming place for everyone regardless of if you've been lifting for years or brand new to exercise. The people who train there are friendly and supportive. And the coaches are knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. Just try it out and you'll be hooked! Yurt.

Fantastic experience: CityGym offers a great and super friendly environment to train in. High quality personal trainers with knowledge of anything related to fitness or the body is beyond amazing. I had an amazing and dedicated PT, Rob. He made me addicted to lifting the way I would never dreamt of lifting. He was always making sure I'm in good form, using the right techniques. He is also supportive when I'm in the gym training by myself. I would not have discovered my strength if he had not pushed to challenge myself. I am delighted with the result I achieved in just 2 months. Tasha is very approachable for any advice or help. Keep up the good work guys

Fantastic experience: Began here when they first opened for an all female beginners group and they welcomed me in with open arms. When I was ready to come back I was met with the same open arms. An excellent place to train, learn the proper lifting techniques and such a friendly atmosphere. From the most friendly, helpful staff, to the PT sessions to open gym, I would recommend emailing the lads to take the first step to joining the city gym family. And the tunes they play while you're slinging weights around are perfect too!

Whether personal training sessions or you want to do your own thing there is a great atmosphere here to train. Staff are always friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgable. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Was only in Limerick for 2 days, got a day pass here not realising it was a powelifting gym. Worked out wonderfully as I've only really used machines so far and one of the guys (rob? I think) gave me loads of clear and helpful advice on proper form on the deadlift and squat, he spent loads of time with me after i literally just walked in off the street, very grateful for that. Everyone was very approachable and friendly from what i experienced and what i saw of theres. Great vibe in the place. Wish that it was my local. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

CityGym has an amazing owner and incredible coaches especially Gar and Stephen ❤️ For me CityGym isn’t just a normal gym they are now family to me and have helped so much as a lifter and as a person. I’ve had the pleasure of training in citygym three times so far and everytime I wished I lived closer so I could always train there couldn’t recommend this place enough honestly ❤️

Fantastic experience: It's impossible for me to recommend Citygym more, whether for powerlifting or someone just starting off. I've been a member for a year and a half and have added over 100kg to my total in that time. The atmosphere is incredible and the coaches both helpful and knowledgeable. I have met an amazing group of people who have been unbelievably supportive both inside and outside the gym. Genuinely couldn't even consider training elsewhere now.

Fantastic experience: Joined City Gym just over a year ago best decision I ever made. I loved the circuits classes in the mornings. They ain't no ordinary circuit! I was just looking to get back into training I couldn't have expected how much joining City Gym has changed my life. It's not just a gym it's another home. The atmosphere is very very unique here. Fantastic experience: I've added over 20kg on my total in about 3 months of online coaching with CityGym, and I've lost almost 10kg in bodyweight while doing it! A great bunch of people - no egos, zero BS and the positivity surrounding the gym itself has to be witnessed in person. I'd recommend CityGym coaching (online or in-person) for anyone, but particularly for a lifter that feels lost or has stagnated. I had zero motivation to continue my long-term cut, was convinced I was just a bad deadlifter and probably not cut out to be a Powerlifter...that changed the moment I signed on with CityGym. Ye won't regret giving them a call!

Fantastic experience: Joined the gym over two years ago and haven’t ever looked back. Started off with personal training sessions and moved over to join the most amazing powerlifting team and group of people I could ever have asked for. Massively supportive group and totally unlike your typical commercial gym. Coaches are always there to answer questions or just have a chat if you need it.

Fantastic experience: What can i say, I'm 39 years young and this is my first gym experience and didn't know what to expect, but what a fantastic 2 sessions done already with my personal trainer Jack, and his knowledge of the gym/getting fit and strong is second to none. Also I've checked out basically all the gyms in limerick and this place CityGym is by far the best for me as it has the old school vibe about it and none of this high tech S--t u see in alot of gyms, this is get in do what uv to do and learn alot while doin it, and ur doing it right which was my problem for years doin workouts from home. So happy i made the decision to join a gym but also i picked the right one? Thanks again guys.

Injuries I have had for years which had stopped me training are no longer an issue.Also working to make sure my mentality and technique is correct,building strength at the same time. Dons and Rob made my decision easy, City Gym Limerick by far is a No 1 facility from first class equipment to amazing informative coaches. Arthur has been an invaluable source of information in nursing a broken elbow back to strength. No matter if it's your 1st or 100th time through the door everyone is made welcome with a friendly face from coaches and other gym goers. Keep up the good work City Gym!!

Fantastic experience: Signing up for City Gym's powerlifting classes was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my fitness. What once took me eight months of training by myself I managed to accomplish in three months at City Gym. The equipment is first class, the coaches are kind, helpful and professional and I always feel welcome and comfortable there. If you want to get into powerlifting, or are experienced and want that extra push in your training sessions, I cannot recommend City Gym enough.

Personally for me what went from a simple enquiry for assistance from a CityGym coach for an upcoming comp , to now being a place where i train week-in week-out with the best of equipment within the facility, just shows that it is the best platform for you to grow physically, mentally and definitely socially! 5 stars from me.
